That’s right folks, I’m finally getting over to London! I’ve made so many awesome connections there over the years (hi Tesco!) and despite getting around quite a bit of late, I haven’t had the opportunity to actually spend time in the UK. All that changes in Jan and it’s thanks to the awesome guys at NDC!
I actually spent a year living in London over the turn of the millennium… until I realised the weather was a bit, well, let’s just move past that and focus on the positive things. I’m going to be spending the week at NDC doing a bunch of talks and a 2 day work shop at the conference. If NDC London is anywhere close to how good it’s been in Oslo the last couple of years, this is going to be an absolutely sensational event! Go and check out the speakers they already have listed on the site – it’s full of absolute top notch technology pros.
The thing about London though is that it’s pretty much the opposite end of the earth to Australia. If I’m going to go that far then I’m going to make the most of it and spend a bunch of time meeting up with people and most importantly in the context of this blog post, making time to run some private “Hack Yourself First” workshops for organisations interested in skilling up their development teams. I won’t repeat all the details here because I wrote about this workshop only a few days ago in this post about my upcoming San Francisco trip so check out that one for more info. (Incidentally, both the comments on that post are asking when I’m visiting the UK so yeah, here you go!)
Whilst there’s more than five months to go before the event, I’m trying to get organised very early this time. I do have a family I want to get back to so I’ll only have a limited amount of time. If you find my blogs or talks or Pluralsight courses valuable, this is basically all that condensed into one or two days of full on app sec delivered face to face and on-premise in a highly interactive, hands on way.
